FAQ's
The way an organization manages its resources makes an impact on its bottom line. It's the little things that can save money and time. Managing Resources - like efficient vehicle fleet monitoring, vehicle allocation, usage and billing etc can be made so easy. Organizations with many vehicle users and assorted vehicle categories like executive cars, staff transport buses, cargo trucks, etc. find managing their Vehicle fleet using conventional challenge. Using this site one can keep the records of their vehicles. One can also keep the records of petrol pumps, service stations, hospitals, warehouses, mechanics, refreshments etc. on route. One can see Live Vehicle Tracking on map (using the map facility of this site). User can zoom in, zoom out and pan the map for viewing the vehicle location/position. You can see time, speed and position of vehicle, on map. There are two types of reports: Daily Reports and Periodic Reports.
Useful, Informative vehicle tracking requires vehicle tracking software and a vehicle tracking unit mounted in the vehicle typically under the dash or the seat out of the reach of the driver. Fleet Monitoring System offers both. Our Fleet Monitoring System application is web-based software platform that is accessible from just about anywhere.
Vehicle Dash Board is submenu that appears under Tracking and has events like Transit, Stoppage, Geofence, Overspeed, and No GPS.
Events are Transit, Stoppage, No GPS, Overspeed and Geofence are the events shown on the Vehicle Dash Board page. To see these events click “+” sign i.e. on the Vehicle Dash Board Page. Events are shown as clicked the serial number of respective events map page.
NOTE: Each event is calculated on the basis when event duration is more than 1 minute & in continous mode as per GPS/GPRS data received. Also the event reports can be seen then and only then when the event has occurred.
Transit:
Transit is nothing but the movement or travel of vehicle. Transit is displayed on the Vehicle Dash Board page as on daily basis, the transit exists if the travel of vehicle is continues and more than 1 minute then it’s shown on the Vehicle Dash Board page.
Stoppage:
Stoppage is detected when the vehicle has been stopped or halted at some specific location for more than 1 minute.
Geofence:
Geofence entry & exit is displayed on the event page when the vehicle arrives and departs in the circle set to the respective vehicle. Condition is that the circle radius should be greater than 50meters.
Overspeed:
Overspeed is detected when the vehicle is in motion and crosses the speed limit i.e. set through the Vehicle Details (Speed Limit).
No GPS:
No GPS is the event which shows the jumps that are observed due to no or weak GPRS signal or when the device fails to communicate with the server for meantime.
This is one of the most features of Fleet Monitoring System in which every vehicle movement can be tracked. The tracking of the vehicle can be viewed live on the map showing its exact location. User can get vehicle's movement/position on map with time, distance, date, and speed. User can create routes for vehicle and can also get the shortest route. User can see the vehicle movement with three levels of zooming (zoom in, zoom out, pan) facility.
1. Track Vehicle on Map.
8.
More Than 50 reports.
2. Get alerts for Time Delay.
9.

User can get two kinds of reports: Daily Reports and Periodic Reports. .
# In Daily Reports user can get report on one click by selecting the Report Type, Date, and Vehicle Number. Daily Reports are analyzed Event Details and Event Summary wise. User Can view/save these reports in Excel sheet/Word/Pdf/Image or HTML format. User can get Reports on: Vehicle Trips, Vehicle Transit, Vehicle Stoppage, Vehicle Geofence, Vehicle Overspeed, Vehicle No GPS and many more. These reports can be email to multiple recipients.
# In Periodic Reports user can get reports based on the Report Period like Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly. These reports can be email to multiple recipients’.
Global Positioning System (GPS) is a technology that uses the position of satellites to determine locations on earth. GPS is an essential tool for GIS(Geographical Information System) because it allows for the gathering of data that locationwise is highly accurate.

Working of GPS:
GPS satellites circle the earth twice a day in a very precise orbit and transmit signal information to earth. GPS receivers take this information and use triangulation to calculate the user's exact location. Essentially, the GPS receiver compares the time a signal was transmitted by a satellite with the time it was received. The time difference tells the GPS receiver how far away the satellite is. Now, with distance measurements from a few more satellites, the receiver can determine the user's position and display it on the unit's electronic map.A GPS receiver must be locked on to the signal of at least three satellites to calculate a 2D position (latitude and longitude) and track movement. With four or more satellites in view, the receiver can determine the user's 3D position (latitude, longitude and altitude). Once the user's position has been determined, the GPS unit can calculate other information, such as speed, bearing, track, trip distance, distance to destination, sunrise and sunset time and more.
General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) is a packet-based wireless communication service that promises data rates from 56 up to 114 Kbps and continuous connection to the Internet for mobile phone and computer users. The higher data rates allow users to take part in video conferences and interact with multimedia Web sites and similar applications using mobile handheld devices as well as notebook computers. GPRS is based on Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication and complements existing services such circuit-switched cellular phone connections and the Short Message Service (SMS).
Global System for Mobile(GSM) Communication. Originally developed as a pan-European standard for digital mobile telephony, GSM has become the world’s most widely used mobile system. It is used on the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequencies in Europe, Asia and Australia, and the MHz 1900 frequency in North America and Latin America.
When the device countinuously sending data using GPRS,and at the condition when GPRS is failed at that time device send data by using GSM technology. At one condition when both technologies (GSM & GPRS) are failed the data collected from sattelites has stored by device itself and after getting network(GPRS or GSM) it will send to server.
